PART ONE. FOLLOWING UP ASSIGNMENTS SUBMISSION

How to insert your Smore image instead of showing a long web address

Instead of showing, http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&q=college+AND+multitasking&btnG=&as_sdt=1%2C11&as_sdtp=, we can embed the web address into the image like this;

By clicking this image, you will access to class to Eunice’s class blog.

* Reminder for late submission:

 I would like to remind you what I shared with class during the first and second week of the semester about the project/assignment submissions.
Since this class is totally based on project-based learning, your active participation in projects and assignment completion is critical to deepen your learning. Assignments/projects are not for me, and this is one of the reasons we don’t have any quizzes/exams. If you think you will need more time to complete assignment/project, just let me know in advance.
So in the future, if you think you’ll need more time, please ask me the extended deadline in advance.

PART TWO. INVITED SPEAKER: DR. EDDIE WATSON FROM CTL

Multitasking and Learning, Can we do both?

Today, we are so honored to have another guest speaker– Dr. Eddie Watson.  Dr. Eddie Watson is the director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at UGA now. Before coming to UGA, Dr. Watson was the associate director of the Center for Instructional Development and Educational Research at Virginia Tech.  Most of Dr. Watson’s research is related to the topic about the collaboration across the boundaries of disciplines in order to create opportunities for professors and students in higher education to achieve the goals.  As we ll know, 21st century learners are very different.  Today Dr. Watson will lead us to unveil some of the myths about 21st century learners, especially the myth of multitasking.

* Your thoughts and reflections about guest speaker’s lecture should be included in the reading response. So please come to the class on time.
